North Brighton Kindergarten provides sessional programs for 3- and 4-year-olds, rooted in a philosophy that nurtures children’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence through intentional learning and play. North Brighton Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated Co-Educator to join our experienced teaching team. This role supports both 4-year-old groups (25 children per group), working Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
You will work alongside a skilled team to deliver a high-quality program that nurtures children’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence through intentional learning and play. Our play-based pedagogy encourages exploration, discovery, and growth in a safe, supportive environment.
We are also open to splitting this role, with the option to work with either the Lorikeet Group (Monday/Wednesday) or the Possum Group (Tuesday/Thursday). Each role includes approximately 13 contact hours plus 4 hours planning time per week.
About You
You are enthusiastic about working with young children and preparing them for their transition to school. You bring strong teamwork skills, a commitment to embedding First Nations perspectives, and a sound understanding of child safe practice.Qualifications and Requirements
An approved Diploma level Education and Care qualification (or equivalent), or working towards a qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations
A current Employee Working With Children Check
A current approved First Aid qualification, including Anaphylaxis, Epipen, and Emergency Asthma Management training
Completion of the PROTECT: Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector online module
Sound knowledge of Child Safe legislation, the VEYLDF and NQS
